Players can suffer minor or major injuries when participating in games. Players with a minor injury can still participate in games, but their performance may be lower. Minor injuries are indicated by the band-aid icon.

With major injuries, player will be sidelined and will have to be replaced in the line up. These players are indicated by the medkit icon. You can use the emergency call up action by tapping the player in the rosters screen to call up a player from the minors as a replacement. Once the injured player recovers, the called up player is automatically reassigned back to the minor team.

Salary Cap Relief

When a player is sidelined due to an injury (regardless of the injury duration), their salary does not count towards the salary cap and you get this extra space to call up a replacement from the minor team. For more information, see the Salary Cap guide.
